Authentication of Documents - US$ 100.00

The Embassy authenticates documents such as Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Educational and business documents, driver’s license etc., that have been issued by the various authorities in Sierra Leone.

  • A profile of the company the applicant represents with a letter of invitation from a registered company/organization in Sierra Leone is required.

Applicants who wish to receive their Visa the same day, have to pay an expedited fee of US$ 50.00 and should submit their application latest 1 p.m. to be collected between the hours of 3 - 4 p.m.

Those wishing to travel to Sierra Leone must have and submit the following:

  • Completed visa application form with one recent passport size photograph (less than six months old.)
  • A passport valid at least one year before the date of expiration. Passport must contain sufficient blank visa pages.
  • Copy of travel itinerary or round trip ticket should be produced. In some instances, the consular office will invite applicants for interview.
  • For applicants that are minors, both parents must sign the form, the child’s birth certificate attached and a notary public must notarize the form.
  • If an applicant is mailing their passport, a prepaid self-addressed next day delivery envelope should be enclosed.
  • A valid and up-to-date international certificate of vaccination (yellow fever).

To obtain a Sierra Leone visa, you must do the following:
